13th Annual Red Tent
September 7, 2019 @ 2:00 pm - 7:00 pm
FreeWe invite women of all ages into the Red Tent. Non-crawling babies, in arms are welcome.
What is a Red Tent?
The tent symbolizes the cozy, warm, safe womb and the red symbolizes the life of blood. Communities around the world have been organizing Red Tents as a special place for mothers to share their birth stories, celebrate pregnancy and birth experiences, and heal from traumatic ones. The goal of every Red Tent is to create sisterhood, record our stories, and practice deep listening. Every year San Diego Birth Network tries to capture qualities of empowerment, pride, community, and a sense of support, love, and womanly wisdom. This is our scared work. We hope that you join us.
*You do not have to share your birth story to attend. Listening ears and hearts are always welcomed
